Description

This is a proposal for the new prosecutor’s office of Spain in the campus of justice in Madrid. As part of the cylinderical masterplan, the focus of the design was to enhance the geometric attribute of ‘endlessness’ of the given cylinderical shape. The design incoporates the aspect of animated geometry in relations to the viewer and the shift of this positional relationship contunuously renew the perception of the geometry of the building. The facade utilises system of louvre to further articulate the constant changes. Due to the depth created by the louvre, the inner skin and the structure are being revealled as the distance from the building gets greater. The diagonal structures inside the louvred facade are integrated with natural planting which will be irrigated automatically by the built in system which is combined with rain water down pipes.
